Ever since he was a young boy, Bob has been fascinated by Native American art and culture. He has conducted extensive research and has spent hours learning the art form, as well as familiarizing himself with Native American stories and legends. He is intimately familiar with the traditional artistry of the Coast Salish, Haida, Kwakwa’wakw (Kwakiutl), Tlinget and Bella Coola, Tour the Native American art galleries in Ganges, Nanaimo, Vancouver BC and Friday Harbor. Bob has been sailing for over 45 years, which includes 13 years of racing experience. As an owner of Wind Seeker and giving tours for the past 8 years, he knows the boat and its history inside and out. Obviously, Bob is intimately familiar with the waters included in these tours. He enjoys teaching those that sail with him the basics of sailing or advanced sailing strategies and chart/tide chart reading.

A tour of selected Native American Art galleries in Seattle is optional. Bob has personally carved masks, bowls, bentwood boxes, and chests over the past 25 years.

As an Architect, Bob spent 20 years working with Native American Tribes in designing culturally appropriate facilities in Washington State, Idaho and California.
